Improvised Translucent Mosaics

Michael Robinson and Pandit Jasraj

The glorious singing of Pandit Jasraj informs the way I interpret jazz ballads, superimposing raga craft and rasa on the resplendent poetry of Hart, Harburg, Hammerstein II and myriad others with improvised translucent mosaics.

He sang ragas for me while driving in my car from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Pandit Jasraj begins where Bach, Beethoven and Stravinsky end.

Forever he lives in my heart.
